In Falls Creek and off mountain there are a number of Ski Hire options for you.  I have used a number of them for the disabled groups I have taken to the mountain as well as the family in the early years before we bought our own gear.

So do you hire or buy.  You hire if you ski less than 10 days a season, these days the gear hired is excellent and you can choose from basic gear to state of the art new gear.  You can hire on or off mountain with off mountain normally cheaper but I would hire boots on mountain or as they can be changed if they give you trouble.
