About This Web Site

I am a regular skier at Falls Creek Victoria, the Ausi Ski Bum (ASB Alpine) name is what I call myself on the net, my real name is Allan Young. I discovered Falls Creek some years back when I took a disabled group from Western Australia skiing, what I found was a mountain unique in the fact you learn at the top and work your way down. I moved to NSW and live in a country town within driving distance of Falls Creek a few years back, now I spend nearly every weekend in season up there and make a few trips each summer.

Falls Creek the town is amazing, its a real holiday experience any time of the year but in winter is magical.  

These pages are my review of the resort from my experiences up there. I want to share these with you and provide the best independent pictures and skiing reports on the net. That being said the Falls Creek Ski Lift company and its Management have been very helpful in providing information for this site. Regular emails and media releases from them allows me to keep you informed. They also have a great site of their own and on the link page you will find a link to the official Falls Creek Ski Lifts site

If you cant find the information you want here Email me or post a question on the Discussion Forum and I will get back to you with an answer. I have had many challenging  questions about Falls Creek and so far have been able to answer most.

Season 2007 is Closed and we had fantastic snow on an excellent base this year.  If you missed out why not plan your 2008 trip now.  ASB Alpine can assist with advice to make this easier.

Falls Creek Ski Lifts is introducing a Leap Year Season Ticket, purchase yours by 29 Feb 2008 for $999 and have the ticket at the same price as you paid in 2006 & 2007.

Snowmaking expansion on Wombats Ramble will reach Falls Creek Express in the 2008 ski season.

Dickie Knees has been refurbished and is much larger, makes a good alternative lunch spot.

Again in 2008 Falls Creek Ski Lifts has purchased a new snow groomer, the grooming over recent years has been excellent as a result of the huge commitment to grooming equipment.
